LIRA is modern software package intended for numerical analysis of structures' strength and stability and computer-aided design process.
LIRA includes the following main features:
    user-friendly graphical interface;
    a set of multifunctional solvers;
    extensive library of finite elements that enables the user to create computer models of almost any structures: 2D/3D bar models, shells, slabs, wall-beams, solids, membranes, tent structures. It also allows you to create combined systems that consist of different finite elements (slabs and shells supported with ribs, cased frame systems, slabs on elastic foundation and the like);
    dynamic analysis of the structure (earthquake, wind with pulsation, vibration, impulse, impact, response spectrum);
    analysis on wind loads with account of pulsation and earthquake loads according to building codes of CIS, Europe, Africa, Asia and the USA;
    modules for analysis and design of reinforced concrete (RC) and steel elements in accordance with building codes of CIS, Europe and the USA;
    steel tables of CIS, France, Germany, and the USA, as well as user-defined steel databases to add customized sections or steel libraries;
    interface with other graphic and documentary systems (AutoCAD, Allplan, Stark, ArchiCAD, MS Word, HyperSteel, AdvanceSteel, Bocad, Revit, etc.) through a *.DXF, *.MDB and *.IFC files;
    comprehensive help and documentary systems;
    Russian/English languages for interface and/or documents;
    various systems of measurement units.

Moreover, LIRA software has a number of distinctive features:
     advanced algorithms of setting up and solving the set of equations without limitation on number of nodes and elements;
    super-element simulation with visualization at every stage of analysis. This simulation enables you to speed up analysis of the problem and reduce influence of too large ill-conditioned matrix for the model without super-elements;
    modules of physical nonlinearity on the basis of different nonlinear relations σ-ɛ. These modules enable the user to simulate the loading process for both mono- and bi-material structures and to trace crack propagation, creep strain and yield until the complete damage of the structure;
    modules of geometrical nonlinearity that enable you to determine large displacements of the structures with invariable form. They also allow you to determine the initial equilibrium shape of variable structures according to specified load (separate ropes, guy trusses, guy shells, tent structures, membranes, etc.);
    a wide range of special finite elements that allow you to create adequate computer models for complicated and non-standard structures. For example, FE that simulates node flexibility, FE that simulates the work of the ground outside the structure, FE that simulates the tensioning device (turnbuckle) and allows you to provide the specified initial tension of the structure contour or to find the necessary tension that ensures the specified geometry (e.g. of the tent structure);
    special solver BRIDGE that allows you to get surface lines in specified elements of bridge structure from moving load and determine unfavourable combinations of forces and displacements;
    special solver ASSEMBLAGE plus that allows you to trace the stressed state of the structure during assemblage, e.g. frequent changes of design model, placing and removing of temporary supports and so on. This solver enables you to simulate assemblage of high-rise buildings from monolithic reinforced concrete with account of seasonal variation of material (concrete) properties, disassemblage of temporary supports, climate variation, etc.
    special solver Dynamics plus – time-history analysis that enables you to simulate behaviour of the structure under dynamic loads with account of nonlinearity;
    special module LIR-KM that enables you to automatically generate the whole set of working drawings KM (for reference, it is called ‘drawings of steel structures’ in Russian). The set includes drawings of element layouts, lists of elements, joints, bill of materials. In comparison with other graphic systems (AdvanceSteel, StruCad, Bocad, RealSteel, etc.) oriented only to automatization of graphic in design of steel structures, routine of design LIRALIR-STC module – LIR-KM module enables the user to analyse, determine (check) and unify sections of steel elements and joints, and then obtain drawings KM;
    special system SOIL that enables the user to generate 3D soil model according to specified geologic data (location and parameters of boreholes). Then it is possible to calculate moduli of subgrade reaction that are variable across the foundation slab. Calculation is made by different methods;
    special solver Model variation that enables you to specify different stiffness of elements and boundary conditions within the same problem (in this case topology of the model remains the same). This enables you to take into account: 1) change in stiffness of soil under dynamic loads (including earthquake), and 2) exclusion of separate elements from design model when analysing problems of progressive fracture.

LIRA software is continually updated to include new programs and enhance features of existing ones. New versions of the program appear routinely, they support new operating systems, include new options and systems, and take account of new generation of CAD programs.

Every new version contains Installation Guide, Tutorial, and extensive Help system where you can find detailed information about options and tools of the program.

Our Technical Support Team will help you find answers to your questions or resolve any concerns you may have about one of our products.
